Regardless of what led up to the man hurt on the ground, there is absolutely no excuse for throwing a tear gas grenade into a dense cluster of people at short range like that. None. Ever. Therefore, no context is necessary. The whole point of this video is that that act alone is appalling. Clearly that was lost on you two, however. So just like nevermind.

Police don't get to be people, and they aren't allowed to use "mob mentality" as a defense like your average joe blow. Regardless of what was done previously, there's no excuse for throwing a freak'n explosive into a crowd of people trying to help a guy that's down. It isn't Nam.. its not the middle east, its Atlanta ffs. Well, maybe Afghanistan is more hospitable from time to time

The good guys always have to be the good guys. Even if you kick a good guy in the nuts, its still his job to be a good guy and not do the same thing back to you. Its not as though I don't feel for the cop who takes a rock in the face and gets a broken jaw, but guess what, he's doing his fuck'n job and that shit happens. It's the police's job to get shit on by the public, not vice versa. If more police were more respectful to the public, perhaps they'd see their behavior returned.

The guy who threw the flash grenade should be charged with whatever you get for doing something that fuck'n stupid, "assault with a grenade". Should he go to jail? No. He should be a fuck'n meter maid for the next 6 months as a lesson to smarten the fuck up.

Dumb asses will be dumb asses. Police, civilian, military. What you wear doesn't dictate what you're allowed to do and not do. The crowd wasn't hostile so they shouldn't have been gassed while massacre stacked. They were trying to help someone who was injured.

I'm also against the idiots rioting. Madness only begets madness. Issues should be handled in a diplomatic and fair way. Same goes for idiots who stand in front of a bulldozer to protect a building.
